Science Boot Camps
We plan to start ‘Science Boot Camps’ and focus on developing creativity, team spirit and ‘visual learning’ amongst the participants.
Please note that these course are not government funded.
Purpose of courses for 7 to 16 year olds is to ignite scientific interest in students so that they:
- Question intelligently
- Learn through discovery
- Connect scientific knowledge to the real world
- Plan a career in science and technology
To be recognised globally for bringing innovative learning products in school and college education, and for contributing to the society by reaching the less privileged students around the Oldham and Greater Manchester areas.
The students need to be stimulated by involving them in scientific experiments more than mere books. We need to satisfy their curiosity at the academy by actually involving them as a part of the learning process.
STEM was developed as an initiative to provide an opportunity for students, where multiple sciences and maths labs incorporating experimental learning to actively have students visualise and demonstrate the practical application of theoretical knowledge.
Tell me and I’ll forget, show me and I may remember, Involve me and I learn”. –Benjamin Franklin
Mini Science Center
The Mini Science Centre is the brainchild of STEM that includes 75 interactive working science exhibits. With the help of these exhibits, 120 fundamental Science and Maths concepts can be validated. Along with these 60 Science exhibits, the Mini Science Centre at the academy includes 30 informational and colourful backdrops, teacher’s user manual and student’s user manual.
Playing and learning with these science exhibits not only provokes a sense of interest in the subject but also involves a grasping of the subject with an element of fun and engagement. It increases inquisitiveness and reasoning skills in the students.
